Brimmed with family atmosphere and fun-filled activities, the Outdoor Gathering has become the most anticipated social gathering of the members of QSUM & their families. The latest edition of the biennial event was held on 23-24 November 2018 at Barracuda Beach Resort, Umm Al Quwain with the participation of more than 150 members and families.

The afternoon of the 23rd started the proceedings with a bunch of activities and games which set a joyful tone to the entire evening. In reminiscent of the wonderful time spent at the University, recent graduates as well as seasoned members engaged in the activities enthusiastically. The enjoyment seen on the faces of old folks showed that although they might have passed their youthful years, they are still young at heart. When the sunset over the horizon of the Arabian Sea, two teams tested their strengths in a game of tug of war, which drew the attention of the entire crowd.

Later in the evening, members indulged in hearty and delicious dinner & a barbecue curated to Sri Lankan taste buds. The highlight and the most anticipated segments were the drama performed by junior members and the singalong which was lead by many gifted singers within the community.

On 24th, while some members participated in games of volleyball, others enjoyed the pool or enjoyed other facilities the resort had offered. With some beautiful memories of good times spent with friends and families, it was time to depart. Everyone echoed that the event was an entire success and whished to participate in the next Outdoor Gathering in not so distant future.
