QSUM Charity Event 2013

Donation of Surgical Hospital Beds to Tambuttegama Base Hospital

QSUM-UAE Chapter is pleased to announce the successful conclusion of its charity event for the year 2013 by donating 14 Surgical Adjustable Beds to Tambuttegama Base Hospital in Sri Lanka on 17th January 2014.

Although this hospital treats about 25,000 in-house patients and more than 100,000 outpatients annually, the hospital was equipped with only few surgical beds as per the hospital officials. QSUM understood the requirement of additional beds to alleviate the discomfort and pain undergone by the patients regularly and organized this charity event with the generous contributions from many donors. The total donation was about AED 25,000 and QSUM would like to extend sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed and supported for this noble event.

QSUM is not merely a forum which focuses on the alumni relations and activities but also acts as a conduit for its members to interact, address and assist unnoticed needy people in Sri Lanka. QSUM annual charity event has been established to fulfill this social responsibility and QSUM successfully concluded a charity event in 2012 by donating cloths and stationeries to a large number of families living in war affected rural villages in Sri Lanka.
